Chicago Auto Show Update

By Far, the BEST week of my entire life. I say this because not only was this a time of learn more about cars, event planning and the Chicago Auto Show "behind the scenes".. but I literally was able to laugh my heart out every single day.

Justine & I at our 1st press conference for the week. Volkswagen released their 2011 Jetta GLI.

The individuals I spent 7 solid days with became my media family. Not only did we spend every living minute tweeting or updating our status, but we attended press conferences and media breakfasts. I had the opportunity to attend the Midwest Automotive Media Association ( MAMA's) breakfast with the media. This was a time when the Hyundai Sonata won Vehicle of the Year award. Jim Farley of Ford presented his thoughts as to how they have become such a successful company over the last year through the use of Social Media.

Through Twitter, Facebook, Hulu, YouTube and FourSquare Ford has evolved an enormous fan base from their online activity. They realized this is the most engaging and important way to connect with consumers. Follow them on http://www.facebook.com/FordExplorer?v=app_158079477574953 to discover their GO DO campaign.

It looks like an awesome idea.. and a great way to gain publicity with just a small amount of money.

Of the entire week, Thursday night was by far my favorite! It was the First Look For Charity event. $250/ a ticket and all of the best food in the city was there. Belvedere martini's, unlimited sushi ( and of course every other food you could imagine), and free cadillac slippers! What more could a girl ask for?
